Baby Boy makes a family of four

Oh my goodness! Just look at this sweet bundle of joy. Nash was just a week old when his family came in with his parents and big sister Quinn. He was cute as a button, and I couldn’t wait to create photographs to document all of those handsome – and tiny! – features for them.  

Nash’s big sister Quinn wasn’t quite two years old yet, and she was a super explorer. He will have his work cut out for him trying to keep up with that little busy bee. All of that to say, we were so we were thrilled that we got Quinn to hold her brother for a quick photograph. She was so sweet in the moment and really focused on snuggling her little brother. But then after a beat she was off again! Her energy kept me laughing throughout the shoot. We had so much fun! I really can’t wait to see them together as he gets just a bit older.

I photographed Quinn as a newborn as well. Her session looked a little different from her brother’s due to her acid reflux (poor baby was happiest when she was swaddled and resting in Mom or Dad’s arms), but I think it’s special that they have two sets of distinct photographs for each of their babies. Before Nash’s shoot, I had the pleasure of photographing Quinn’s one-year session, too (which went even better since she was older). Nash was so happy – or sleepy rather – during his session and allowed me to get all the photographs that we wanted. I felt redeemed! But no matter if they’re crying or sleeping, swaddled or bare, these are the real moments and authentic memories we’re trying to capture. And they’re all precious.
