Luka ~ Newborn Photography in Rocky Hill, CT

newborn baby boy sleeping on tummy on dark blue with red wrapMeet Luka. He was born way back in April. We did his newborn photography session in Rocky Hill in two parts because his big sisters got a bad cold and couldn’t be there for his first scheduled session. Once they were both well, I went back to their home and photographed the rest of the family with baby Luka. Then, they left for a 5-week vacation in Europe! So now that they have returned, rested and tanned, Mom finally got a chance to see all of her family’s beautiful photographs from Luka’s newborn photography session.

I sooooooo wanted to put a Superman shield on his wrap to make it look like a cape, but the photo was more striking without it.

Getting all of the children to look this gorgeous in one photograph can be difficult. Especially when they are all under the age of 5. But these three little darlings did a wonderful job.

Dad smiling and holding wrapped newborn son against his chestDad plays European football in his spare time, so we tried to photograph Luka with a soccer ball. But he was just too little to fit correctly. So when it was Dad’s turn to hold baby Luka and be photographed, I wanted to create something that really highlighted the difference in size between Luka and his athletic Dad.

The artwork is going to be so stunning, they may have guests lingering in the foyer instead of the living room.

The kids had all been really good, however, they were over it all by this point. But they pulled together and got one last photograph made. And even though everyone doesn’t look perfect, they will always have this memory to show how cute, funny and young they all were when little Luka joined the family.
