Avery ~ Pink Peonies Inspired Newborn Photos

Look at this tiny lace romper! Have you ever seen anything cuter – other than the adorable baby wearing it, of course? Baby Avery visited the studio at just fourteen days old for a peony-themed newborn session. Her parents decorated her nursery in delicate pink and grey (the most popular combo this year) and accented it with pink peonies. I was so excited to incorporate the oversized blooms into her session. I’m loving this combination, and the sets are so feminine and soft for baby girls.

When looking for a newborn photographer, Mom wanted photos to be personal and unique to them. After searching around, they found me and my work to be authentic and real. Once I met these two, I couldn’t wait for their session date! They both have a very fun, unique sense of humor and joked during the entire session. They had me chuckling the whole time even though this was such a calm newborn session – they were so wonderful to work with.

Meanwhile, their little beauty snoozed away in a bed of petals, surrounded by soft cozy blankets and her snuggly bunny. I really like the semi-transparent swaddling blanket that provides a little warmth and support while still showing off all of those precious features! It really captures the newborn stage by mimicking the womb. So beautiful!

We also did a few family portraits, and it was so sweet to watch how Dad gently rocked his baby girl, complete adoration filling his face as he looked upon his daughter. These are the moments I live for and strive to capture as a photographer.
