Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

We’ve all heard the old nursery rhyme about what little girls are made of telling of Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice. Makes you just want to cuddle them up and enjoy their sweetness. This little cherub was everything that girls are made of and her perfection shows in her beautiful newborn portraits.

Momma and Daddy were just glowing as well, so happy to have the baby girl of their dreams now in their arms.

With her perfect little eyelashes and the bow in her hair matching her sweet bow-shaped lips, their little lady was a perfect dream to photograph.

While we photographed her entire session indoors, I find parents love the beauty that nature can bring to a photograph of their new baby. However, between the extreme heat and bugs that summer brings, and the cold and rain that you get in other months, taking a beautiful newborn portrait outside isn’t often ideal. So, with some artistic editing talent, I give parents the best of both!

Growing from a family of two to a family of three is the most special gift, and those moments when you realized just how blessed you are, fill your heart with so much love you can actually feel it expanding.

Before they leave Momma’s tummy, newborns are folded into the most amazing positions. And since they are so new, we can emulate those folded poses in their newborn portraits.

And not to be outdone or forgotten, this family’s first baby needed his moment in the spotlight. Keeping watch over his new sister while remembering the glory days, their little pug is settling into this new normal.

So delicate and pretty like the newborn bonnet that she is wearing, this little girl is going to be the light of her parents’ life.
