One of my greatest joys as a photographer is being able to watch my clients’ families grow and thrive. Photographing any baby as they progress from gracing their mom’s womb through the newborn and infant stages is a thrill by itself, but when I can follow an entire family as their first babies become big brothers and sisters to new siblings, it’s even better.

It’s been my honor to do this for Cole and Maisie’s family, and I’ve been with them from the very beginning. I’ve photographed Cole’s newborn, six-month, and one-year photos, and for Maisie, I was there for her mom’s maternity photos as well as Maisie’s newborn and six-month sessions. We weren’t able to get together for Maisie’s one-year photos due to the pandemic, but Mom and Dad made sure they wouldn’t miss any more special moments of their young family’s journey together.

Fall Family Photograph Session

For that reason, I was excited that they wanted to schedule a fun family session this fall. We set up the session for one evening, but we almost cancelled because the weather had been gray and gloomy all day. We decided to give the photos a try anyway, though, and it was as if the weather took a cue from the family’s joyful energy and decided to brighten up as well. God blessed us with an amazing sunset and a surprisingly warm evening, and it all came together for some stunning family photos.

During our session, Cole and Maisie had a fun time enjoying the great outdoors and I was thrilled to be able to capture some of their adorable interactions together as brother and sister. I can’t wait to watch this family continue to grow and to light up the world around them along the way.
