Meet little Dakshina. Mom and Dad contacted me in the summer to do their maternity photos. Back then, we played up the beautiful summer green that was surrounding us because green is mom’s favorite color. But now that their baby girl has arrived, and it is fall, they chose to have me create fall color newborn photos. Wow, did they turn out gorgeous!
Dakshina was several weeks old during her session, but she made my job easy because she loved to turn her face up towards the light. These vibrant fall colors are just lovely with her skin tone.
When it was Dad’s turn to take photographs with his new daughter, Dakshina rewarded us with this fantastic awake shot.
As she is now their center of everything, I thought it fitting to create this photograph that placed Dakshina in the center of this lovely fall floral round.
All swaddled up in her cranberry colored wrap, Dakshina was so peaceful. Her tiny hands are just perfect.
Mom got some great connection in her photographs with her newborn daughter as well.
Dakshina is all dressed for fall and has her tiny pumpkin to nap with.
Because baby girls make us think of pink, I created this photograph of Dakshina resting with lovely flowers and fur.
And finally, their first family portrait together. Not full of smiles just yet, but in a couple of months Dakshina will be cooing and giving baby grins to all who look her way. With these kind parents there to guide her, she is going to grow into a beautiful and kind young lady.
